Chinese White Dolphin (Sousa chinensis) is one of the two resident marine mammal species of Hong Kong, well known among the public. They are usually found in the western waters of Hong Kong. In this programme, Dr. Samuel Hung of the Hong Kong Dolphin Conservation Society shares his knowledge and love of this marine mammal during the lecture and field trip. This species is endangered in Hong Kong as its population has been declining significantly since the last decade when more and more development projects take place in their habitats. In the future, students are able to witness the various on-going infrastructure development projects in north Lantau waters and think about the future of this lovely marine mammal of Hong Kong.
