The Eco-garden of New College was set up in November 2014 with the aim of promoting native biodiversity. Over 20 species of native tree, shrub and ferns species have been planted in several flower beds of the podium outside New College. It is hoped that these plants will eventually attract birds, butterflies and other insects coming to visit our garden. Being situated on a hillside right next to the dense forest on Mount Davies and adjacent to Lung Fu Shan Country Park, it is not at all a dream that local wildlife will visit the New Eco-garden. Lastly, this Eco-garden would contribute to raising awareness among our students on urban biodiversity!
